In Good Company is the Canadian Chamber Choir’s first full-length studio album. All repertoire were selected by artistic director Julia Davids and the album was released on May 18, 2010. This recording features Canadian-composed choral works and was performed by 21 singers from across Canada.
The recording sessions took place in August 2009 at Buhler Hall during a residency at the Mennonite Collegiate Institute in Gretna, Manitoba.
Special guests on the recording are mezzo-soprano Christianne Rushton, pianist Joel Tranquilla, and cellist Se Hee Kim. The recording includes pieces by Canadian composers like Eleanor Daley, Allan Rae, Jocelyn Morlock, Lionel Daunais, and Jeffrey Ryan. It also contains a commissioned work entitle At Sunset by the CCC’s Composer-in-Residence Jeff Enns.
