Danielle Sirek

Danielle Sirek is Arts Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Arts Education at Western University (London, Ontario). She received her PhD from the Royal Northern College of Music (UK). She also holds a Bachelor of Music from Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada), and a Master of Music from University of Toronto (Canada). Her research has been presented across North America and Europe and is published in a number of academic journals.

Danielle sings with various local ensembles in London and is a conductor for the Amabile Choirs of London. In addition to singing with the Canadian Chamber Choir, Danielle has served on the Board since 2016 and is Chair of the Indigenous Collaborations Committee.

A founding member of the Canadian Chamber Choir and its Artistic Director since 2003, Dr. Julia Davids has led the ensemble on concert and workshop tours of every province, and conducted four recordings including their Juno-nominated 2015 release, Sacred Reflections. Born in London, Ontario, she grew up singing in the Amabile Youth Singers, the Ontario Youth Choir, and the National Youth Choir, for whom she was the first Apprentice Conductor. She is currently the Stephen J. Hendrickson Professor and Director of Choral Activities at North Park University in Chicago, Illinois.
