The Canadian Chamber Choir (CCC) returns to Manitoba this fall for ten days of concerts, workshops, education and community engagement, joined by Cree-Dene composer and musician Sherryl Sewepagaham.

Running September 25 to October 5, 2026, the tour takes the CCC to Brandon and Winnipeg, with additional community outreach activities across Manitoba. Along the way, the ensemble will work with singers of all ages through public workshops, school visits, university masterclasses and community events, while celebrating 25 years of bringing professional choral music to communities across Canada.

The tour marks the CCC and Sewepagaham’s first outing together since receiving a 2026 JUNO Award nomination for their collaborative album, Where Waters Meet, in the Classical Album of the Year (Large Ensemble) category.

The tour begins in Brandon, where the CCC and Sewepagaham will host a Vocal Spa Day at Knox United Church on September 26, followed by a 3:00 pm concert at First Presbyterian Church on September 27. The concert will also feature Brandon’s Deep Roots Community Choir and repertoire from Where Waters Meet, alongside music reflecting the CCC’s 25 years of artistry and connection. The ensemble then travels to Winnipeg for workshops and masterclasses with students at the University of Manitoba and Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute, alongside several days of community outreach.

The tour culminates on Sunday, October 4 at 3:00 pm at Desautels Concert Hall, where the CCC joins Winnipeg’s Dead of Winter (formerly Camerata Nova) for a major collaborative performance. Featuring music by Carmen Braden, Sherryl Sewepagaham and Andrew Balfour, the concert will also welcome the University Singers and Inuit throat singers Aleatra Sammurtok and Zeann Manernaluk. This is the CCC’s seventh tour of the province of Manitoba. Together, the performances and outreach continue the CCC’s longstanding commitment to connecting professional artists, local singers, students and communities through choral music.
