Beth Peterkin

Beth Peterkin has an extensive background in not-for-profit governance, fund development and office administration with a strong interest in community sustainability. She has an Economics degree from Carleton University, Ottawa and completed numerous post-degree business courses including business management and the development of policies and procedures.

Prior to retirement, Beth worked as an Executive Director in the field of Restorative Justice. She also served six years as a municipal councillor and was instrumental in providing leadership to other members of Council in the areas of culture, recreation and the environment. Beth established solid working relationships with municipal, provincial and federal levels of government. She has worked on several Boards of Directors throughout her career and has organized numerous community events, fundraisers and regional and national conferences.

Beth believes in getting results and uses creative, innovative thinking in the development of short and long term plans. She uses her leadership and communication skills to bring community partners together in problem-solving. These relationship-building skills have resulted in developing strong collaborations over the years.
