Naomi Russell’s love of the choral art is a product of her involvement with the programs of the Manitoba Choral Association. A member of the 1994 and 1996 National Youth Choirs, she keeps busy with two ensembles in Brandon Manitoba, with das Femmes, an unconducted 8-member women’s choir, and as director of Women in Harmony, Brandon’s ladies’ barbershop group. Sandy Jasper is a graduate of Brandon University having majored in Music (Voice) and minored in both Theatre and Psychology. Throughout her youth (oh so very long ago!) she progressed through the myriad of incredible Manitoba Choral Association choral programs, culminating with her participation in the National Youth Choir in 1998 & 1999. Sandy is proud to be one of the inaugural members of the Canadian Chamber Choir and has been on every tour since the choir’s inception in 2001. Karla Ferguson learned to sing harmony with her family in Saskatchewan and hasn’t stopped since. She studied voice at Brandon University, and received further training and inspiration from various provincial, national, and international youth choirs. Karla is proud to have been a founding member of two choirs, the Canadian Chamber Choir and the unconducted female chamber choir das Femmes in Brandon. After spending three years singing with the Elmer Iseler Singers, Karla is now back in Manitoba where she works for the Winnipeg Folk Festival, sings regularly with the Winnipeg Singers and Canzona, and sometimes moonlights as an accordionist in the…

Deborah’s life-long love of choral singing was nurtured in school and church choirs and the Saskatchewan Choral Federation’s honour choirs, camps and festivals.  Throughout her English studies at the University of Saskatchewan and Queen’s she continued to sing in choirs, including the U of S Greystone Singers (for whom she is now accompanist); soon after, she joined Saskatoon Chamber Singers as an alto and collaborative pianist.  Her membership in the Canadian Chamber Choir (since 2005) has brought her musical fulfillment, valuable professional development opportunities and lasting friendships.  As a pianist she has collaborated with many solo performers and ensembles, including…

Kimberley Denis, M.Mus. Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance (University of Alberta, 2007), B.Mus. (Mount Allison University, 2003), B. Comm. (Mount Allison University, 2003) is known for her energy and enthusiasm both on stage and off, and is sought after as a soloist, choral clinician, and adjudicator for voice and choir. Upon completion of both her commerce and music undergraduate degrees at Mount Allison University, she returned to Alberta where she completed a double masters degree in choral conducting and vocal performance at the University of Alberta.
